Alliance of top IT companies to eradicate online Child abuse.

Leading technological IT companies such as Apple, Amazon, Google, Twitter , Microsoft  etc were came together to get rid of online child sexual exploitation and abuse. Technology coalition is kind of corporate alliance established in year 2006. Members including these IT companies are funding and advising the technology industry about online protection tools for children.

 

The Technology Coalition said in a statement on June 10: “The world has changed since we first gathered in 2006. Technology has advanced and new Internet services, such as mobile and online video streaming, have exploded.” 

 

According to the Technology alliance, under the “Project Protect” scheme, the activities will be based on the five pillars.  The venture for this project include investments to accelerate the development and dissemination of innovative technologies aimed to eradicate child abuse, holding multi-stakeholder annual forums, including governments, funding independent research and sharing information. Drafting new approaches and improving accountability.

 

The technology giants will invest millions of dollars in innovation and research, and publish and share annual report on progress of the technology coalition.
